I see painting as a way for me to remember and reveal the attachment I have to a particular place, a turn of light, the play of colors, or simply the emotion I felt when I first experienced each special place. The act of painting is evocative and intimate to me, and through painting I seek to capture the intrinsic characteristics of my experiences. My artwork becomes even more meaningful to me when a piece resonates with another person, and a unique communication is made.
